Hi there ,

Have you had your medical appointment scheduled at St. Lukes too? If not, you better go ahead and do that as well... Or just simply show up there the earliest possible time you can at St. Lukes clinic in Manila...

Well, as far as the payment of visa is concerned, usually you have to do it BEFORE your interview..

Goodluck!

Probably its different now, the way things works at USEM..Well, she stated there on her first post that she did the interview appointment online, whereas before as far as I remembered, there's NO way you can do that, we have to call them (USEM) to set for an interview appt...Also, we had to pay the fee at any BDO branches before but now, they changed it and have to pay the visa fee at BPI....

there were instructions in the appointment system on how to pay the IV fees for DCF'd casefile -

Please get back to the appointment system and review it - it's also listed in your appointment letter on 'how to pay'.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

it's my understanding that the IV fee is paid at some bank, prior to appointment day.

that's the fee to file the I-130.

Where is your USCitizen spouse on all of this? Ask him/her to review the stuff again, as instructions for paying are available to you. I sense you're missing something very basic, and should be obvious to your spouse for 'where and how to pay the IV fees'.

Immigrant Visa Application Fees

Immigrant visa application fees may be paid in cash, traveler's check, U.S. Postal Money Order, or by major credit card at the Embassy's consular cashier if they have not been paid already to the National Visa Center (NVC) in the U.S. Payments at the Embassy may be in U.S. dollars or in Philippine pesos at the prevailing Embassy exchange rate. Each applicant, regardless of age, will require a separate fee payment. Fees are non-refundable for applications submitted and processed.

Here is my understanding from someone who went through the process: since you filed your case directly with the USCIS office at the Embassy, you will pay your visa application fee at the cashier's window at the Embassy on the day of your interview, right after they fingerprint you.
