The amazing thing is, this is the 2nd son this woman has lost to an act of violence. How she continues on is beyond me.

The immediate jump to the conclusion that since this boy is black, he must be influenced by rap music and not have a father present in his life. As if that's how it is for all black males. The picture posted of this kid makes him look like any other idiot teenager you see with their pants around their ankles. I wonder why the white kids who dress this way and give people the finger aren't called 'thugs' ... when did that become a term simply for black males?

It isn't about being factually correct or incorrect, it's the fact that these things never get said about white kids who do the same horrible things.

A white kid shoots up a kindergarten class, and does anyone call him a thug? Or wonder about his taste in music? Or discuss where his father is in his life? No. They wonder about his mental state.

Okay, I'll attempt to say this one more time. It isn't about whether or not anything is correct ... though I haven't read about his musical tastes or his father figure. But anyway.

Why did nobody wonder what's wrong with this kid? Why did nobody question this kid's mental health? They do it for every white mass shooter there is. But when it's a black kid, forget mental health. Let's call him a thug because of his pants, and let's assume he listens to rap music and let's go on about his lack of a father, etc etc etc.

Is that completely different reaction not racist? Before any facts have come out and all you have is a name and skin color of a murderer ... why do they get two different reactions?
