The guy does have a point in regards to the media coverage of this incident, or the lack thereof. This is one of the most despicable incidents in my recent memory, and I haven't heard barely a thing about it on the MSM.

The amazing thing is, this is the 2nd son this woman has lost to an act of violence. How she continues on is beyond me.

i don't know what you guys see in this picture that is so telling. i see kids stick up their middle fingers and half assed gang signs in questionable clothing choices all the time on facebook, kids of all sorts of colors and backgrounds.

of course i'm not defending this kid. but turning this crime into a racial issue is, once again, telling of the posters who consistently bring up race as an indicator of criminal activity.

So this has nothing to do with race, but TM had everything to do with race.. NICE....

The immediate jump to the conclusion that since this boy is black, he must be influenced by rap music and not have a father present in his life. As if that's how it is for all black males. The picture posted of this kid makes him look like any other idiot teenager you see with their pants around their ankles. I wonder why the white kids who dress this way and give people the finger aren't called 'thugs' ... when did that become a term simply for black males?

It isn't about being factually correct or incorrect, it's the fact that these things never get said about white kids who do the same horrible things.

A white kid shoots up a kindergarten class, and does anyone call him a thug? Or wonder about his taste in music? Or discuss where his father is in his life? No. They wonder about his mental state.

Why do you not make the same "predictions" about white kids who shoot up their school?

Again, the Sandy Hook shootings. Who ever called that boy a thug? Did anyone ask whether he had a father present in his life? No.

If a white kid does something horrible, people worry about their mental health. If a black kid does something horrible, people go on and on about rap music and deadbeat fathers.

You're right, that's not racist at all.

This was the one element that made me wonder if more might be to the story... because it is highly unlikely for two of these horror stories to touch one family.
