Excellent point. But even if it was disclosed, some could still find certain things that were over the top for them personally and not want to participate in a specific exercise.

One step further - the prof should have had all students sign a release and disclosure statement during the first week of class. It's a university class though, not high school - sometimes these things are not so well thought out at the University level.

i'm trying to think of a time in recent history (say, our lifetime) when christian extremists had control of the government of a major country and then used that power to issue a credible threat to an individual who insulted christianity/christians/jesus to the point where said individual had to go into hiding for over a decade.

Where I work, all the senior managers are Republican.. if their Facebook profiles are to be believed and if the way they hang out, heads nodding, by dear leader as he rants about benghazi or whatever is any indication.

Except, you know, for the fact that many of them actually aren't.
