RE-DOING MEDICALS & SPUTUM TEST

I did my medicals on oct 2012 and when i went for my visa interview and my visa was approved i was told that my medical have expired 2 weeks ago and have to re-do them, the problem is i had an abnormal chest xray and had to do 3 sputum test and it took 8 weeks to get my results, i now have another appointment coming soon for medicals, my question is will i have to re-do the sputum test agan and wait for 8 weeks??, am sure the x-ray will show a scar again, please advise if you have been through this
