Dear Members,

I am new to this site.

I applied for Fiance visa and did my interview a month back in Ghana. My problem is that I was petitioned for by a different petitioner in 2007 and things didn't work out and when I did the interview the Consular said that my application is going to be put in Internal Mandatory Administrative Processing which can take between a week and 90 days.

But my worry is that I have ever applied for Visitors visas in 2005, 2006 and I was denied then later on someone petitioned for me in 2007 and now this is a different petitioner who petitioned for me for fiance. Wont my background affect my visa application because I hope they are doing the name check now about me?

I am so worried someone out there to advise please

thanks in advance.

They are very likely taking your past into consideration. The tourist visas aren't really that important. Your problem is the previous petition. It's normally a big red flag to have had more than one person petition for you. But 2007 was a while ago so at least you have that going for you. I hope you provided lots of evidence of a bonafide relationship with your fiance at the interview. No way to tell you how long you'll be in AP for. Just sit back and wait to hear what they have to say.

Thank you so much,

I provided everything dating back in 2010 to date things like photos, emails, chat logs, birthday cards and greeting cards and he flipped through all and returned them all and he asked about my previous petition/ lady and I explained with affidavits and he said I go and bring either or single status document which presented after one week and later I got a call from the embassy that your application has been put in AP.

Its now 2 months am waiting.
