Unfortunately if they do not accept your payment, you can only wait for them to deny it and send everything back to you so that you can put a new proper payment in the package and mail it back.

Once you get it back and are able to put the proper payment inside I would go to somewhere like FedEx or UPS and pay the extra cost to have it next day shipped to the office.

Go to your bank and ask them to honor this check - of course provide the right details of the lost checks to them. There may be a fee but this is the best process.

Surely you know the check number that you wrote to the USCIS and only put stop payments on all the unwritten checks--right?!?! If not, I would find out the check number and have the bank honor this check. Otherwise, your entire package will be sent back to you and you will have to send it back.

I used USPS Express mail and waived the signature requirement. I put "USCIS--Form I-751" on the envelope. They received it on a Wednessday, check cleared the bank on Friday and NOA hard copy received the following Tuesday. This was to the CSC. Once the NOA is in your hand the GC is extended for 1 year.

Good luck,

Dave

hello There-

I'm having a similar issue. can you tell me what was the outcome? did they send you a letter letting you know that the check was returned? was your case canceled? you reply would really assist me right now.

Hi There!!

Just wait and have patience. The Burlington Finance Center will send you a notice and you will be able to pay it right away once you get the notice in the mail. My case was not cancelled. I already had my extension notice and my biometrics notice..so you will be fine.
