I-130 processing time not listed for NBC?

Hi all,

I just received a text message this morning confirming that the Chicago lockbox office had accepted my recently-submitted I-130 petition, and that they have routed it to the National Benefits Center (NBC) for processing. From what I understand, this is also known as the Missouri service center (MSC).

But interestingly, if I head to the USCIS website and pull up the processing times for the NBC/MSC, they provide a list of times by form - but the I-130 petition isn't one of them.

Granted, I'm just a week into this whole ordeal so I'm not exactly panicking or anything here... but doesn't this seem a bit odd?

You don't get a prize, but you do have my tip o' the hat to you and best wishes!! :)

:lol: Just kidding around with you. It's something that a lot of people are experiencing right now with the transfer from the service centers to NBC. Unfortunately they just haven't updated the processing times to show the I-130. They've had a few months to put this form on their site, but still haven't completed that update. They may or may not update it. Most people are saying that it should take between 5-6 months or so for approval, but only time will tell!

Good luck with your journey! And please only take the beginning of this post as a joke. I'm really not that mean. I'm just razzing the new guy! :)

03/23/2022: Application for passport submitted at USPS facility under standard processing.

04/04/2022: Status changed to “The U.S. Department of State has received your application for your passport book on 04/04/2022. We're now reviewing your application and supporting documents...Your application locator number is 51*******.”

04/04/2022: Check for passport cashed.

05/03/2022: Status changed to "The U.S. Department of State approved your application for your passport book. We're now printing your passport book and preparing to give it to you. You should receive your passport book on or around 05/09/2022."

05/05/2022: Passport Received.

05/09/2022: SSA Citizenship Status Updated.

05/25/2022: Naturalization Certificate received in mail.

I have been transferred to NBC as well.

The USCIS site will be updated on the 24th and maybe we'll get some good news smile.gif

16 Mar 2013- I-130 package delivered
21 Mar 2013 - case transferred to NBC- email notification; check cashed

4 Nov 2013 - 1st email received: our file was transferred to another office

5 Nov 2013 - 2nd email received: our file was transferred to the local USCIS Office

8 Nov 2013 - 3rd email received: our file was transferred to an USCIS office

8 Nov 2013 - got the letter saying our file is in the California service center

25 Nov 2013 - NOA2 received, file approved

10 Jan 2014 - NVC number received

5 Nov 2014 - fees paid

24 Nov 2014 - NVC received the documents

4 May 2015- Interview

VISA APPROVED!!!!

6 June 2015 - POE in Chicago

Now living in ND

01-07-2014 - DS-261 completed online

01-08-2014 - AOS paid
