Good afternoon, everyone!

I just need some clarification on the NVC interview location. Will it be in the country where we married or the country where my husband’s from/lives?

I am a Returned Peace Corps volunteer, who meet my now husband while serving in Kyrgyzstan. I left Kyrgyzstan June 2012. We married January 2013 in Turkey. My husband works and lives in Kyrgyzstan.

Where will they send the NVC packet?

It looks as though (from the USCIS website) it will be sent to Turkey which would be difficult for us.

Timeline:

3/1/2013 Mailed I-130 via FedEx

3/4/2013 Arrived at Chicago Field Office

3/7/2013 Email/text confirmation- I-130 accepted & sent for processing (3/4 acceptance date)

The interview is where the beneficiary legally resides, so Kyrgyzstan in your case. Anything sent to your husband would be sent to the mailing address indicated in the documents you sent it.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
