I so am, my packet left NVC to London consulate on the 8th of March apparently.. haven't heard anything yet! I have my medical booked for 27th, all paperwork ready and really hope for interview before 24th of May!

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.

We are waiting as well, but here is our progress to date:

Jan 29: NOA2

Feb 4: NVC Rec

Feb 6: NVC Left

Feb 13: Consulate Rec

Feb 15: Packet 3 Rec

Feb 23: Packet 3 Sent

March 1: Medical

March 19: Consulate Entered and Accepted Application

When I talked to the US State Department earlier this week, they suggested I call back next week to see if an interview date had been set.

I sent Packet 3 on 11th February, had medical on 5th February. When I called the embassy on Monday they said my forms were logged on 12th March and that it usually takes 3 weeks from then to schedule interview. Just hoping petition doesn't expire before interview.

I asked the same question about the NOA2 expiring. The lady at the DOS told me not to worry as long as action had been taken on Packet 3.

I wish they were consistent in their advice, when I asked the man I spoke to he said I'd have to get a notarised statement from my fiancé if the petition expired in order to proceed.

We put April 19 (my parents' wedding anniversary; my father has Alzheimer's and my mom is passed away... sentimental). I KNOW that's pushing it big time.

It's so frustrating all this waiting. I wouldn't mind the waiting so much if we just had an interview date.

Only if you did nothing in the way of sending in your forms, getting a medical, etc. As long as you did your part in a timely manner and London can't fit you in for an interview yet, your petition is extended automatically. On the other hand, if you did nothing for say 6 months after London had sent you the instruction letter, then sent in your DS-xxx forms...they would want new assurance the USC petitioner was still on-board with the marriage plan.

Thanks for the info. I got Packet 3 around 26th January, had medical on 5thFebruary and sent Packet 3 back on 11th February. I wanted to send it all together so waited until I had everything from my fiancé hence the delay. I wonder why the man I spoke to didn't just say they would extend it?

We are also waiting for an interview date (but only just) ... the Embassy received our forms yesterday the same day as the Medical results.

Just for information it does say on my Packet 3 letter that to revalidate the petition we are required to take a notarised statement from my fiancé of intent to marry within 90 days of arrival in the US and present it on the day of the interview. I am assuming this a must anyway and my OH has done the letter and I have it in my sticky fingers ready to go ... I'd rather have too much than not enough! :D
