Hi there,

I reapplied for my wife's I-130 because the first one was rejected because I did not include a proper marriage certificate.

I sent the package Feb 21, 2013 from my Canadian address (I live abroad with my wife).

On Feb 27 I got an email saying:

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number

They had also cashed my check. However, I never got a paper I-797 receipt. Should I be worried about not getting the paper receipt?

NOA1 is not super important but it does contain the case number, unless its in your email you got you may want to call USCIS and try to get your case number.

oh, it was most likely sent.

you just haven't received it yet, Canada Post being what it is.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Everything we get from the US Govt take OVER A MONTH.

I have NO IDEA WHY.

I got a letter from them about a week and a half ago dated the beginning of Feb.

Normal post moves just fine, but I swear it's like they see important gov't mail and slow it down or something :bonk:
