Had I given up after those 5 lawyers shot me down, I wouldn't even have a petition in for the kids today. I would be no closer to getting the kids here than I was 11 months ago. Our children will be here in America and be green card holders before their Dad even is. No thanks to a lawyer!

Good luck to all who are still going through this process. You will get through it!

By the way, the lawyers were actually being honest, I'm sure. It would be unscrupulous for a lawyer to take your money for a case that had little chance of success. That would be like robbing you. They probably didn't think they could win this one. It is a tough one, you have to admit. But I applaud your determination and devotion to your step-kids. You are truly amazing!!! :thumbs:

This is a compelling story of love, knowledge & determination. You went undeterred with conviction and with law on your side. Unfortunately, the Lawyer only looked this case with a prism of probability and not the law point which made you a winner.

December 15, 2012: POE Atlanta....................became USC July 2016!!!!

Mothers' Journey (My sister is the petitioner)

September 10, 2013: Sent I-130 (UPS next day service)

September 12, 2013: Received text to confirm delivery

September 16, 2013: Received NOA 1

March 22, 2014: Received NOA 2

Today, exactly one month from the boys' DNA collection interview, I wrote an email BEGGING the embassy to let my boys drop of their passports for visa insertion. IT WORKED!!!! They said the boys can drop of their passports at any time!
