Can someone please help me?! I'm freaking out..

I'm hoping to move to the USA with a K-1 visa but I don't know what to do before leaving Canada. I want to avoid any problems and get things done as soon as possible so there's no delays in my move! Does someone have a checklist on what I need to do before moving? My biggest concern is taxes.

Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can give me!

There is a forum for Canadians on VisaJourney that might help answer your question better:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/

At the top is a stickied thread about moving to the US!

P.S. Some of the info in that thread is a bit old but it should give you a good summary of what is out there and you can ask clarifying questions of people who have gone through the process recently. I just moved down here in December of 2012 myself.
