Practical questions - in what way do you send in the papers?

Hello,

We're (slowly) getting there! I am so sorry for spamming these boards but... yeah.

I was wondering about a practical issue - in what way do you actually send in the papers? There are so many right now - do you have separate folders? Or do you just staple each form? For example, we have to include like... 7 passport photos of me. Should I put these in a separate envelope or should I put them together with its form?

Here's what we have so far (a checklist I borrowed from another poster but have adjusted it for us). Please read through and check if we've missed something superimportant...!

Two Checks: in the amount of US$420 for I-130 and in the amount of US$1,070 for I-485 plus biometric fee <- Should we put these in a separate envelope or just have lay them on top of the pile?

You should read the guides. Lots of tips there.

The photos you should write your name on on the back , put them in a ziplock bag and put them on the first page of particular form (G325A & I-765 & I-313) with a clip or so.

When we filed we put in 3 seperate forms incl documents in the envelope. Each form are hold together with a clip (I-130,I-485 , and I-765) all with their own cover letter, money order, and documents .

Hope this helps!

Because all the different forms requires it, according to the instructions. A total of 7.

When USCIS receives your packet, they are going to reorganize it in their own folders. So avoid any fancy organization because it is just going to be undone. I would use jawclips or paperclips, and not staples, because staples are more time consuming to undo. One giant pile is also okay (I remember I put on little removable sticky tabs on the side).

The I-485 only needs one G-325A for the beneficiary. The I-130 needs one from each person.

Hi Bullan,

your list seems fine to me, but I have 3 questions:

1) why beneficiary birth certificate in the I-130?

2) why passport bio page in 485?

3) why I-94 in 485?

Maybe I'm missing something in the instructions...

Best,

F
