i for one would not get married on april 1st aka april fools day lol

unless it is very important reason ( very ill family member ) you are unlikely to get an emg. travel permission so make sure about your travel plans. our travel approval took 59 days and hope will receive the card in another week

i just got here last march 14.. we plan to get married on april first week.. i can stay only until june 10.. so after married what will be the next thing to do.. please help i do need it.. please respond, i am on K1 visa

What is the significance of June 10? Not trying to pry to much but why do you need to go?

1. I would get your SSN card now in maiden name.

2. Get married

3. Go back to SSN office and simply change SSN card to new married name

4. Start AOS paperwork and EAD papers (EAD is if you want to work right away).

ur k1 visa is valid until june 10 right?

after u got married.

get ur MC

get SSN ( with your married name if u have ur MC already)

file AOS,(with EAD and AP)

wait until the release of ur GC

june 10 is the expiration date of I-94... thats why after the marriage what i need to do next.. my hubby wants to plan marriage by may i told him its late already if we plan to do things on may.. cause what he thought is he just need to marry me before june 10... i told him after marriage we need to start the adjustment of status..and proces everything.. am i right.. or else i have to back to phil. if i didnt do everything i need to do... right? please respond cause i will let him read what you replied to me... so he will understand... thank you

the only reg is that you have 90 days to get married.

you can file for AOS anytime after marriage, no rule about it.

suggest you chase after a SSN in your visa name about 3 weeks after your POE date.
