Hey! I am also August 6 filler in the CSC. I called over a month and a half ago and they told me that I would they told me the same thing they told you then :(. They said in mid-march I would be outside the processing time and could file an e-request. I tried in mid-march and then even called and they then told me they were still in July 18th, to call back in a month. Sorry, trying to stay positive but it's getting harder every day. Hopefully we hear back soon though!

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

honestly i don't even know i still bother posting on this website.......everyone is sooooo negative

I don't think anyone is being negative, just realistic.

Everyone just wants to make sure you are aware of all the possibilities so you don't get your hopes up too much and then be extremely depressed when it doesn't go as planned. I know I would have been much better off if I knew how things really worked at the USCIS level but I didn't find the help here until after the fact.

Best idea is to stay positive, hope for the best, keep on track and if it all works out like you want/hope then AWESOME! But if they wind up telling you to wait longer or don't help you in the way you expect you have some idea what to expect overall based on the info you received here.

Best of luck on your journey! :star:

i just got off the phone with USCIS.......they told me, i will be outside normal processing times in 16 days....i'm a august 6th filer...in 16 days i can put in service request and i will not just get the email saying we are within normal processing times......omg its coming soon, its coming.........there is hope yet at CSC....i believe they will be updating the processing date online on their website soon

In 16 days you will be 8 months in, so they must be going by the 7.9 month national average. You could also make an appointment with your Representative's district office and make your case there. You can state that your petition is past the published 5.5 months processing timeframe, and therefore require assistance. It might be to your advantage since it's harder to deny someone when they're in front of you face-to-face. In 16 days, they will be more likely to make something happen than you would. Unless, of course, you have the same Rep. as 'BAG'; that guy doesn't care about immigration in the least...

Another way of looking at it is 16 days from yesterday will be 5 April and they supposably update their site on the 5th of the month. Maybe they were letting him know that the new date will be beyond his NOA1 date as of the up date and thus be able to file a service request.

(F) im not trying to be negative its just that they have a lot of useless steps for each of us to take that allows the service center more time for what ever reason they have that only they know why its taking so long on who evers petition........and if the person is not prepared for that to happen it gets even more stressful....but sometimes i have seen that they find it has been processed ........dont worry when its time its time and your petition will reach the next level.

I don't know what is negative but if you are not 30 days or more past they wont do anything. The system is just plain bogged down with dream act business and we appear to have taken a back seat. My friend a Nat. USC from Mexico say his friends are all getting green cards in hand under the DA. I wuld considerr any estimates from USG or VJ an estimate at this stage and if you are ahead or on schedule, hurray.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

When i was outside normal processing time I called them and he tried to send it a service request and he said they were behind and if they had not updated my case in 21 days to call back and he would resend service request. Needless to say in about two weeks i got my NOA2. I think it all depends on who you talk to. Some people do just tell you what you want to hear , but then you do run across those who really want to help you.
