Hi everyone,

In several days i have my interview based on my marriage to the US citizen. On 2011 June i took Cooperation education program in my school which allowed me to work 20 hours for a year.I should stop working on June 2012 which i did not. On the form i325a i indicated that i stopped working on June 2012.

My question is can USCIS find-out that i continued to work ? I was using my SSn and i didn't do my taxes yet for 2012.

thank you in advance

Moving from AOS from family based visas to AOS from work student tourist, as the OP is adjusting from an F-1 student visa.

Yes they can find out you are still working, they only have to contact the social security office to find out that you are employed and being payed by your employer.

They do background checks, thats why they take your fingerprints and they research you.

Yes, they will know you were still working. Stupid to lie. Lying about it is worse than the punishment for doing the bad thing, always.

I wish I could have a billboard that sad "dear immigrants: don't lie."

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
