my wife has filed for her parents in May 2012. And right now she has sent all the supporting documents including DS-230 in Jan 2013. but, her mom has 10 years visitors visa, and she just came to US on Feb 27..for 6 months... now, imagine if she gets her interview, fingerprints to be done while she is in US, can she inform NVS that she is in USA legally, and have her fingerprints, medical and interview done in USA before she goes back to India in Aug? what is the process to change the status or have all documents sent to US address?

The medical and interview has to be done abroad at the embassy in the foreign country (India in your case). Sorry, but there's no options in your case to get this done in the US. Once her mother has been assigned an interview date (after a case complete at NVC), then she'll have to return to India, both to have the medical (at an approved panel physician) and attend the interview.

She has to go back for all the processing after NVC completes her case and interview assigned.

Good luck

guys,

I have called NVS, and they said that all her Medical, interview, and fingerprint can be done in USA. she doesnt need to go back to India.. you need to send some supporting documents to USCIS for Status adjustment..
