He doesn't live by the book. Danno is a hater. That's not how one is supposed to conduct oneself according to that book.

There are ideas or ideology I strongly dislike but in my "real life" I tend to like and enjoy all kinds of people, we can agree to disagree and enjoy the interaction along the way.

He likes to think he does, though. Just like most Christians do. Live by the Bible ... the parts they like, anyway. Ignore the rest and tell everyone else to live the same way.
