NVC not taking calls today?

Got through to the NVC after about 20 tries. Finally get a message saying "...the National Visa Center is not providing information on any Visa cases at this time, please try again later"

Is this just a generic message people have gotten before when they are way too busy? Or is this something new? I'm currently awaiting IV fee to be invoiced and making me slightly nervous.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

you checking the NVC Online Payment Portal? When the invoice is ready, you'll see it (use IE 7 or better as the web browser, though)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
