Do i have to look in the chart as Household size of 5. Please guys please help me in this..I know it is very basic question..but wanted to confirm once.

Your household size, Part 5 of I-864:

21 a. 01 (assuming you are just sponsoring your husband and no one else)

b. 01 (counting yourself)

c. 00 (no need to enter spouse twice)

d. XX (add number of dependent children you have)

e. XX (add other dependents like parents, siblings. They are considered dependents if they rely on you for support. Otherwise see 21 g.)

f. 00 (assuming you have not sponsored anyone else)

g. 01 (assuming you are only using your sister's income to co-sponsor your husband. If your parents are also co-sponsors, their numbers go in here not 21 e.).

Add all the numbers above and you get your household size. If your parents and brother support themselves, you should enter 21 e. as ZERO. Your sister will be counted under 21 g.

Hope it helps.

Anil
