Me and my fiance have planned to get married in the first week of my arrival to NY.. but as I have gone through the requirement to get married in US is to have the marriage licence before actually getting married. My 1st qsn is if I will come to USA on a K1 visa still we will require to apply for marriage licence?

2nd qsn if we require marriage licence to get married in NY can I get that in the first week of my arrival or do I need to apply for SSN before applying for marriage licence?

Thanks..

You need a new marriage license. You don't need SSN to marry or get your license.

Just out of curiousity, how many forms of ID do you have to show for the NY license? I believe in PA where I am planning on getting married to my fiancee we must show 2 different forms of ID and thus we were going to wait for her Social Security Card to use as the 2nd ID along with her passport.

To get married anywhere in NY state you need a marriage licence. You can get it at any city or town hall. All you need to submit is one proof of Identity (passport) and one proof of Age (e.g. birth certificate). Marriage licence is valid after 24 hours from applying for it and for 60 days. Your fiance can go to or visit a website of any town hall and find the necessary information. :)
