Hi,

I am a born U.S Citizen. Living all my life in Pakistan. I want to file petition for my parents who are also living here with me.

I have my job here. My bank accounts are here. So how can I petition my parents from here to America?

Please help me out.

Thanks.

Regards.

The process is here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/immigration-parents-overview But you will need to move before or at the same time as them to the USA, and show you intend to remain there long term, can you do that? Also if you did not file US tax returns, you must back file.

I want to move with my parents at the same time as they do. But I want to file the petition and get the whole procedure done of getting the immigrant visa for them from here, living in Pakistan. So how can I do so?

You still follow the guide I linked to.

Three issues:

- File back taxes if you didn't file US taxes til now.

- You will need to find a co-sponsor in the USA, or sponsor them on assets (5 times as much as the income requirement for your household size); if they are elderly, the embassy may also want to see you being prepared for their healthcare expenses, ie having taken out private health insurance or similar.

- You will need to show you intend to establish domicile at the same time as your parents are moving. This will be difficult since you never lived in the USA, but not impossible. I suggest taking a couple of trips to the USA to prepare; buy a house for you all to live in if you can afford it, or take out a lease to show you will have somewhere to life. Sign up with some employment agencies; if you have school aged kids, enroll them in school. Get a cell phone and a bill with a US address to go with it... that sort of thing.

No, only spouses can self-sponsor.

How will your dad support himself? If he has significant savings, you may consider him transfering these assets into your name into a US bank acount/ US holdings.
