You should do what you think is the easiest and best way b/c you are the one putting in all the extra time to do these timelines. It is a good idea to take the people who have gotten their visas off the list b/c if you dont then the list is going to become wayyy too long.

Ok first of all you should get a 32" screen

Anyway, I agree you should do whatever is easier. I was thinking we would just scrap this list altogether then if someone else wants to start an NOA1 to NOA2 list they can (then they can let you know when they are ready to join the NVC list).

Like Eresh said though - it's really up to you since you have the honor of updating all the time :)

It would be nice to still have some kind of list for those of us at USCIS and not moved on to NVC.

Especially right now when people are tearing their hair out trying to even get an NOA1 at USCIS. It's at least encouraging to look at the list and see yes... someone did actually make it out of USCIS recently.

Do I see a volunteer to start an NOA1 to NOA2 list??

I can do it {or at least try} if no one else wants to since I'm here a lot of the time anyways.

How did you use RFE trick?

Basically after you receive a few touches, you can call the service center and say.... I looked online and noticed that my last updated date has changed and I was worried it might be because of a request for evidence (RFE) and so I was calling today to inquire about it.

Yea, what's up with that? What have they changed that is causing them to take so long? I really feel for those who in the USCIS right now and not getting their NOA1s...that's not supposed to be the frustrating part!

Okay, I'm awaken :)! I kind of guessed that it would just be me who'd have to make the changes according to my own will if I really wanted to continue with a list like this :D. But really, I'd like someone to take this task over, my visa process shouldn't last more than three months by any account and thus someone needs to keep these lists updated if you want to have updated lists at all. I will almost dissapear from VJ for the next two years after my visa process is complete. I don't really want to think about anything visa related once I don't have too .

Let's see how this goes :). Should we soon call mags in to lock this thread so we can start anew?

Sounds good Stabu, lock away! Eresh I guess you are on to start a new IR1 / CR1 - NOA1 to NOA2 thread!

Here is just a suggestion of how you might set it up - it's up to you of course - hopefully this will help:

Member Name------------NOA1-----(CSC/VSC)-----NOA2--------Days to Approval ----- Link to NVC timeline thread

Person-name ------------- 04/30/04 ------ (CSC) ------- 05/31/05 ------------- 83

Person-name-------------- 04/26/06 ------ (CSC) ------- 08/25/06 ------------- 83

Also, a good website to work out the Days to approval is this http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html

I really like your new setup trailmix :)! I think we should also a "sent" date since the NOA1 is currently taking up to even two months . What do you think, should we remove everyone from the list that have their NOA2's already and are at the NVC or should we keep everyone on it who got their NOA1 say March 2007 or later so that there's some comparison? I dunno if there's any real use to keep people on the list who's visas have been already approved. Othervice this list becomes a mile long pretty soon...

And thanks for the website :)! I really needed it. So far I've been counting all dates in just my head so thus there's real risk for error. I'm going to recalculate everything on the NVC thread when I update it next time :)!

I really like the idea of the 'sent' date, it is important - maybe something like this? Well in calculating all those dates your mind is being kept really sharp! I think March would be a great place to start.

It'll always be off, unless you use a font in which every single letter has the same width in pixels (like curier new).

It could look like this:

Member Name------I-130 Sent------NOA1--------(CSC/VSC)------NOA2----------Days ---- Link-NVC timeline thread

Person-name ----- 04/30/04 ----- 04/30/04 ----- (CSC) ----- 05/31/05 ----- 83

Person-name ----- 04/30/04 ----- 04/26/06 ----- (CSC) ----- 08/25/06 ----- 83

The link could be moved to the bottom too. I dunno... it looks quite good like this already .

What I'm wondering now is where do we put the interview date or will we have one in any chart? I dunno how much usefull informationit provided early on either... the only thing i used it for was to compare when people who got their NOA1 at time x got their interview date. It's hardish to change this around so that it'll be perfect :(...

I really like this setup, very tidy with the font! I personally don't think the interview date is significant, only because all of the consulates are so different in their timing. So unless each consulate was listed it might not be very helpful overall.

Anyhoo, I really like this, I say set it up - are you happy with it?
