Btw, is it just me, or does anyone else feel that the longer you've waited the more frustarting it becomes :(? We've been waiting for almost a year now (we tried filing a DFC in August 2006 and then again in February 2007 but both times without luck for various reasons). I've been mostly fine with it untill say late April 2007. Now I just feel frustrated almost each day about this. I only get some comfort when I hear that NVC has generated something, sent something, recieved something or accepted something, so that our case is at least going foreward. I'm just wondering :(...

Now as of today my I-130 date of adjudication move from sept 13 to oct 29. Also my I-129F moved from sept 22 to sept 18. Are the now just not processing I-130 visas for a month now? At least the I-129F didn't move back too much last week. I am losing hope very fast to get my wife here by Christmas. This will just cause all sorts of problems, as I will not have any time off work after Christmas. I will pretty much work 6 months strait. So I guess she will just have to sit home alone most of the time. :cry:

I am at the point where I am trying to keep my mind off of all of this. I just look once a day now and then watch tv or something else to get away. I wonder if the lovely folks at the CSC know how much they effect people's lives and their health.

Hi all,

This is a good thread. I will be very thankful if you can add me on the list and if someone answer this question. I filed I-130 for my wife to VSC in Sep 2006 as a LPR(Legal Permamnt Resident). Recived NOA1 on Oct 02. Then, I became a US Citizen in June 2007 and upgraded the petition. Recived a letter from Vermont on July 10 that they have upgraded the petition. As u know, USCIS Website is saying that they are processing cases from "DEC 17, 2006". How long do u think it will take before the approve it? Thanks for your help!!!! regards, kim

Now as of today my I-130 date of adjudication move from sept 13 to oct 29. Also my I-129F moved from sept 22 to sept 18. Are the now just not processing I-130 visas for a month now?

My advice is, stop worrying about the adjudication dates. They are just dates that are made using these forum averages from your center. They basically take your NOA1 date and add the current average (on July 26th on CSC 165 day for I-130) into it and thus counting your adjudication dates. Even if these dates are mostly reliable, they produce unreliable results when there are too few cases around and thus the adjudication dates fluctuate up and down and all around :). Our adjudication (or adjusting dates in case of IR-1/CR-1) showed originally that our case would be adjusted late August or early September 2007. We got a NOA2 three months too "early" in early June.

What I personally did, and recommend, is that you look at this site on the I-130 adjudication date for U.S. citizen filing for a spouse. Currently it shows that they are adjudicating forms that have a NOA1 from December 31, 2006. However, things aren't as bad as they seem, since that date is an end tail (where around 2% of the cases are) of a standard deviation regarding adjudication dates. So what you can do is to take today's date September 26, 2007 and count the mid point of those two dates (absolute exactness isn't so important, you can easily count it with your fingers). What you get is a date around March 20, 2007. You're NOA1 is dated March 30, meaning that your case is only approx two weeks from the dates they are currently proceeding. Thus, if the CSC isn't lagging behind badly, you may well receive a NOA2 in just two weeks :). That site updates once every month (around the mid of it) so as long as that updated date is moving approx one month ahead each month it means that the service center isn't lagging too badly :). Of course, sometimes things get stuck and some of us end up in the end tail of the standard deviation and thus have to wait longer :(. The chance for this unfortunate event to happen is luckily rather slim.

If my explanations sound confusing it's because they are done using basic university level mathematics. Still, it doesn't mean that you couldn't apply that math yourself, as I described above :). If I where you, I would look forward for an adjudication around mid August. But if I turn out to be wrong with that prediction don't be furious :(. I'm not a fortune teller I just know how to do statistics :(.

I am losing hope very fast to get my wife here by Christmas. This will just cause all sorts of problems, as I will not have any time off work after Christmas.

Oh well, if it helps, I can give you some more statistical predictions :P. If you are pursuing a CR-1/IR-1 visa you need a NOA2 pretty soon in order to get your wife over before Christmas. But if you are pursuing a K3 you have no hurries yet :). Historically after NOA2 the CR-1/IR-1 visa is around 1/3 way thru the wait, regarding the K3 visa around 2/3 of the wait is over by the time you get a NOA2. I hope this helps you somewhat :).

This is a very hard question, since your case is more complex than most cases. A lot depends what your NOA1 is seen to be. If they think your NOA1 is from October 2, 2006, your I-130 should be approved very soon, unless there's a problem with your case (e.g. security check issues). If they give you a new NOA1 being July 10, then your wait has just started. In any case, after your I-130 is approved you need to wait at least four months before your wife gets a CR-1/IR-1 visa. Your case is so complex that I personally don't even know how to interpret the data and thus I can't give you any more reliable answers whatsoever :(.
