OK today I received notification from NVC that the DS3032 and I864 are in the mail. New to me! Can you or anyone tell me how long or more appropriately what is the timetable from today unitl my wife's interview and then how long till she can immigrate? It is no wonder there is an illegal immigration problem the legal immigration process is enough to make anyone drink. Sorry typically newby frustration.

Well, after your I-130 has been approved (as it in your case has), the timelines become quite accurate. From the date NVC started to process your case it takes mostly between 3 to 5 months to complete. The average is around three and a half months. From there the case goes to the consulate where the processing time takes from 1 to 3 months, the average is around two months.

So jointly from this point, it takes between 4 to 8 months till you can have your wife over. The joint average is around five months, so in my opinion around five months from now :).

I'm actually wondering why the CSC has had a break of almost two weeks regarding the I-130 approvals. No-one on this thread has had one for a while :(. It's probably just a coincidence, but I’m getting a bit worried that they are slowing down too :(.

We got three touches in five days; I'm hoping that we're getting approved soon :thumbs:. We have been more or less involved in this process since August 2006. We've been so far extremely unlucky regarding our visa process :(.

I have concurrently filed a I129 for my wife....was it a mistake? SHould I continue down this path?

How do you know if you file has been touched?

The Ukrainian consulate reqires the 864 as a part of the interview documention to be provided through my wife at her interview according to their KEV1 document. This seems a duplication in effort or am I confussed????

Please be very careful estimating timelines. Every case is different! Our I-130 was recieved and completed by the NVC in less than 2 months. Our I-130 was done in 62 days at the CSC and the I-129F was done in a little over 90 days and my wife just recieved the packet for the K-3 visa today from the embassy. Since the CR-1 is on it's way to London we are going to wait for that since we have spent the money to process it at the NVC and Bev will not have to adjust status when she gets here as with the K-3. Like most people we applied for both the I-130 and I-129F and played the waiting game and chose the Cr-1 path because it came through so fast. You may find that the K-3 comes through before you send in the AOS and IV fee bill and so the K-3 visa might be better for you?! When you get to the NVC with the Cr-1 the use of James's shortcuts is invaulable and I suggest you start now learning them! Good luck and remember no one can tell you for certain how long this crazy process will take it is different for everyone, which is a big part of the frustrtation we all experience! Ray

Can you or anyone tell me how long or more appropriately what is the timetable from today unitl my wife's interview and then how long till she can immigrate? It is no wonder there is an illegal immigration problem the legal immigration process is enough to make anyone drink. Sorry typically newby frustration.

Well, after your I-130 has been approved (as it in your case has), the timelines become quite accurate. From the date NVC started to process your case it takes mostly between 3 to 5 months to complete. The average is around three and a half months. From there the case goes to the consulate where the processing time takes from 1 to 3 months, the average is around two months.

So jointly from this point, it takes between 4 to 8 months till you can have your wife over. The joint average is around five months, so in my opinion around five months from now :).

Your NOA1 date should be 04/10/2007 or so I think. What is the "received date" on the receipt? The date the receipt was issued or received by you is meaningless to USCIS processing priority.
