I'm actually primarily pursuing the IR-1/CR-1 and going for the consular processing option. The K3 is just my emergency "just in case the USCIS borks up my I-130" backup plan. So I would think I should be on this list.

This is an unlikely strategy now it seems. I believe they've started holding I-130s as soon as an I-129f is filed and have automatically been going with the K-3 visa for those who file a I-129f. Usually the two forms end up being filed at the same time.

My husband and I were also going to go the K-3 route until we saw this. Then we figured we'd save the time (well, okay maybe not any actual time, but at least time filling out forms!) and money and just go with the CR-1. It's what we wanted and what we would have gotten if DCF hadn't been taken out from underneath our feet

Yeah. I'm trying a different strategy but no idea if it will work. Per the USCIS' instructions, I clearly indicated in several places on my I-130 that I was pursuing the consular option even though I was filing I-129F in addition and indicated I didn't want them to hold my I-130. Hoping this avoids the extra $200 and the huge delay, but gives me a K3 backup just in case. Also, I've noticed that for K3 visas, usually the I-130 and I-129F are approved on the same day, so I'm hoping by doing this, I'll get one or the other forms approved more quickly. Who knows what the USCIS really does though...figured I'd give it a shot.

But yes, I'm definately pursuing the IR-1/CR-1 even though I have an I-129F in the works so I'd like to be added back on to the list (since it is a post on tracking the timeline for I-130 approvals after all).

Just a quick FYI for anyone who cares . But i just filed for the 129f, because it seems the process times for that are going quicker.

It's been 4 months sunce my NOA1 and 3 since my last touch, I am lossing hope as the days go by.
