Any other vermonters there??

i'm still here too. nothing new with our case either. it's frustrating. especially because we have a wedding with family planed up for next summer.... with deposits paid. what if i can't make it on time because i still have no visa? i thought about calling VSC to ask how long it might take. or get it transfered to the embassy here like isabel did it with her case.

Ouch! you're from june...i shouldn't complain after all!!!..Check if you can delay the date of marriage if any..but i hope all will go right...I think also you might be due to call VSC because i have read if correct that after 6 months we can call them...!!! And if you do, please let us know!

28 Aug 06 - NOA1 & Certif. receipt returned ( a Monday) Day 1

29 Aug 06 - USCIS cashes check

30 Aug 06 - check cleared & 1ST TOUCH.

01 Sept 06 - NOA1 recvd by Mail

09 Sept 06 - 2ND TOUCH (a Saturday)

09 Mai 07 - NOA2 (2 e-mails)

Note: were told the long delay due to huge backlog and internal changes in VT

NVC :

04-June-07 - NVC generates DS-3032 & AOS bill

12-June-07 - AOS Bill payment sent/ alien receives DS-3032 form (by mail, dated 4th June)

13-June-07 - Alien sends back completed DS-3032 (by mail)/ rcvd 19th of June approx.

To mid July-07 - I-864 form sent completed and IV fee bill

19-July-07 NVC rcv I-864 form; mail signature rcvd.

22-Aug-07 Ds-230 with documents sent to NVC.

20-Sep - 07 Alien sends NVC Missing document. NVC receives it the 25th.

05-Oct - 07 NVC completed.

16-Jan - 08 Interview, 3 questions asked, visa approved same day, received 1week later approx.

Note: delay due to internal delay, missing document (not rfe) and self procrastination of understanding some abstract terms. C Post not at all reliable (delivery duration, delivery with signature (did not deliver personnaly), and delivery of interview letter rcvd after the interview).

In USA:

01-03-08 POE Entry in USA

...-03-08 2 Welcome in America letters and green card received.

Look at mine how long it took!!!!

I am kinda jealous here people get approved in 3 months mine took 4 months. And the NVC process was slower than anyone else's I guess. I started my journey on feb 2nd 06'(filing I-130) and got my interview date for January 23rd 07'. Just a few days less than 1 year!!!! Have I ever complained? ...hmmm ..yea i have lol....

Hope you guys will do better than me and get your visas soon.

Yep, very frustrating. CSC was moving right along with approvals, then got to the end of September submissions and ground to a halt, leaving the few of us from October sitting twiddling our thumbs and toes. :( I've been watching the estimate of approval in the VJ timelines, and mine went from an original of February 6 to January 2, then in the last week it went back to February 6. I'm guessing at this point no more approvals until January, but I hope I'm wrong.

There hasn't been a lot of activity on this thread recently, but hey, guess what? Some time within the last 2 hours I was touched! From what I've noticed, that almost always means either an RFE or approval is imminent. Obviously, I'm hoping for the latter. Of course, I'll probably be checking my status every hour now until it happens. Sorry didn't post my approvals on time because of being out of country.

I-130 TongandWei----NOA1 9/25/06---NOA2 12/18/06

BTW my stepson's I-130 was also approved on 12/18/06(one month from mail out)

Now my two I-130s and I-129F were approved on same day.

I'm VSC filer. Great job, VSC!
