I spoke to my congresssman ( granted withing the 5 months). They called the VSC and the center said they can NEVER approve unless there is a hardship. Are you sure it isnt just coincedence?????

Your time line says that you would have been approved

"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 30, 2013 and April 9, 2013*. "

I think this might be a coincidence and not your congressman....

Like I said Senator Blumenthals office ( connecticut) call the VSC and they said they will not approval before unless there is a hardship....

You just don't like the fact that there is some unequal treatment, do you? Understandable. Have a look at the forum contents of the people that have been approved at CSC in the last month. You will realize that nearly all of them got congressional help. Now not every senator or congressman office is willing to help. but some apparently do while some will just want to get rid of you and tell you there is nothing that can be done.

The whole process is a hardship! It's ridiculous how long it takes :/

Yeah this was opposite when I filed, it will switch back in forth just relax... Try doing other things to get your mind off it. I made a list of things I could do easier when I was single and then I did them and the time flew by for me. Or maybe get a second job, the second part of the visa process is the expensive one, hotels and trips depending on where your fiance is add up quick. I'm already over $1000 from what I thought the whole process would cost and still have interview to do.

I disagree..... No I do not feel I was unequally treated.... I feel that I was told the truth.... here are the facts...

My senator did not gid rid of me. I think that the person at the VSC did exactly what they should have done and told my senator the truth.. That they just dont push someone ahead JUST because they call. There NEEDS to be a real HARDSHIP to be pushed through..... If you look within the time line of the orginal person who brought this up...they would have been approved in this period ANYWAY... 5- 6 months....

I think there are real couples with real hardships that NEED to be approved before me... children , money $$$ or even facing death ( haiti for example) ...granted my hardship is just that I am separated from my soul mate , which to me is a hardship but it is not enough and so it is only right that I wait MY TURN.....

We need to be patient and realize that there are MANY couples and also the VSC and CSC does have a huge task at hand... They are protecting us by screening and doing the backgrounds checks they need to do..... I am sad that I am separated but thrilled to think that maybe....JUST maybe in 3 - 4 months we will be in Napoli and my love will get his visa...

The problem is that at CSC a large amount of people are now into 7-8 months. Is that OK? How about if it drags on to 9 and 10 months? You cool with that too?

past years when here were many petition they would speed up their work as to almost 3000 per month even, so even we caculate with only 2000/month be done, considering k1 couple here are just some percentage of the total quantity, logically, we still have to see some people saying their NOA2 had been approved or whatever, well, more than what we are looking now, and all already got NOA2 of CSC comes with a observation or a comment. My opinion is, CSC is not no doing what they did, at least to k1 couple. We don´t know it is due to their new guideline of immigration or really just need more worker, i could be the volenteer if they want..............

We have to be cool with it. We cant change it.... What CAN we do. It doesnt help to be negative. If we wanted to change...how do we?

All I know is when I look into my fiances eyes when we facetime everyday...and I start to cry or get sad that it feels like forever that we will be together... he looks at me clamly and says.....I love you...we will be together soon....stay calm and when we are together this journey will be the past" I am then filled with an appreciation that if my fiance can stay calm and strong during THIS process...the rest of our lives will be great because we can handle ANYTHING!!!!

you make me cry (F)

It is a little bit funny thinking about the posible"fight" or discution in the future between two, which is normal, since very few couple never discuss in the whole life; but we are so eager to be togather now.

When i did this i told my fiance meanwhile : " well, even though, i´m happy, thinking at least i have sb to "fight" with in front of me"

he laughed so happily !!!

This happened when he visited me this February.

I am kicking myself because I told my fiancee waiting to get married till we get to the States will let us be together sooner. Now that K-1 times are the same or longer as consularly processing an I-130, we could have just gotten married and she would at least be here with a green card around the same time, so we don't have to spend more money in fees for the CIS, or extra hassle with it and with getting all her documents like her passports changed in her home country from the US once she changes her last name here in the US. It's pathetic. And they purposefully don't update the Processing times since Dec 31 so the Ombudsman doesn't get overwhelmed.
