Thanks for sharing this letter with people! it is emational and reasonable  exactly you mentioned DATA cases as what we are considering.

but also, you were an navy man, so somehow it should help you too.

The more i think, the more horrible i feel about our case, you are: Navy man/ young couple ( no red flag)/comunication with congressman/ even though, 7 months only to get NOA2!!!!!!

I'm really mad cause i'm at a work reason country but workless since two months ago, waiting here for this K1 :crying:

On March 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283

:dance::dance:

Why did I get approved and many from July and August are still waiting? I contacted my congressman and they were willing to keep contacting them over the past few weeks including talking to supervisors there. Without their help I'm sure I'd still be waiting. So, go do whatever you can to get the process moving for you, it CAN help.

Congratulations.....<3 I'm soooo happy for u :) I'm still waiting for her to call me and tell me what rfe does uscis needs from me :)

My Navy days are over, just regular civilian now :)

My case approval is all about my congressman's staff. In fact she just called me again and offered to continue to follow my case all the way through the interview. It sucks that it takes 7 months and a very dedicated person with connections to get a simple NOA2, but that's where CSC is right now.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

I have contacted both senators and congressman. 2 of them contacted USCIS, still no answer.... The first time we contacted a senator, they just inquired on our behalf but didn't do anything. They said that if we don't have a good reason to expedite or are not past the posted processing times, they cannot do anything for us.

So what explains that some congressmen/senators get through them while some others don't?

From talking with her, I believe she has been doing this awhile. So, she knows the process and has created connections at CSC. Most importantly she wasn't willing to accept the BS CSC puts out. I know I'm lucky to have someone like her represent my case and wish everyone could get results like mine.

I think i saw people said, even one is retired from military, he/she still be treated with priority, well, at your case, i would prefer to not think you had been treated as this guideline apply, cause 7 months is not a short time at all, especially compared to those waited 40 or 50 days, that's truely priority~.

Anyway, Kevin&Andrea, this is your celebration time, hope you could get the interview date in 1 or 2 months!!

Ok thanks for the info and congrats ! I hope they are as efficient for our case...

Do you now if i (the non USC) can call their office and check on our case and see where they are at? Or do they just talk to the USC?

Not sure why...my congressmans office was pretty much toeing the USCIS line about the "July 18th" date cut off when I contacted them.

My congressmans political party is also different than Andrea&Kevins, so there could be some political bent on what is important for them to act on.

My congressman is Denny Heck who supposedly went to congress to "Give 'em Heck". We'll see how much he and his staff stand by that when my time comes... Well, hopefully I won't actually have to find out, truth be told.
