Hi everyone,

I'm just starting to fill out papers for i-130. I'm a citizen, my wife is the immigrant, we both live in US. My mother is the sponsor who does not live with us.

Please correct me if I'm wrong;

My mother fills out i-864, includes 3 years of tax returns. checks "I'm the only joint sponsor"?

I also fill out i-864, leave income info blank? but check"I'm the petitioner" ?

You fill out the I-864, Your mother fills out the i-864a.

EDIT: Sorry for the above... I-864a only applies if mom lives in same house. You both do I-864. You write 0 on yours.

Another question.....

i-864, line 8 does not make sense to me. Could you pls tell me how to fill this on mine and my mothers? There is only one immigrant

There is the question with a check box "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above."

Then theres a yes and no under it with a check box
