Two teens found guilty in Steubenville rape case

(CNN) -- Two high school football players were convicted Sunday in an Ohio rape case that gained worldwide attention through, and then focused on, social media.

In a trial that divided the football-crazed Rust Belt town of Steubenville, Trent Mays, 17, and Ma'lik Richmond, 16, were found guilty of raping a drunk 16-year-old girl.

The case attracted the attention of bloggers -- and even the loosely organized hacking group, Anonymous -- who questioned everything from the behavior of the football team to the integrity of the investigation.

Judge Thomas Lipps announced his decision after reviewing evidence presented over four days of testimony in the case against Mays and Richmond, who were tried as juveniles.

Mays was also found guilty of disseminating a nude photo of a minor.

So logically, you believe men and women should not be getting drunk around each other because rape is the natural outcome when that happens, correct? If a woman gets drunk around a guy, she's just asking to be raped, isn't she? And it's not the man's fault that he's just giving her what she's asking for?

Is that how it works in that twisted brain of yours? Please, educate us on how women are at fault for getting raped. You've yet to mention the behavior of the boys at this party. You know, the ones who actually did something wrong.

You should have at least 5 or 6 weapons ready to shoot in the event someone were to break into your house. Not having a cache of weapons and ammo at home is akin to begging to be robbed...

Actually your respone is conservative logic at it's worst. You seem to have a problem with context. This girl wasn't at fault, the men who violated her are. Plus the ones who stood around and did nothing, they are guilty as well. You should know right from wrong, but I guess if a woman is sloppy drunk and can be taken advantage of, what's the harm in that?

Ergo, rape is only a crime when the victim is dressed in a manner not conducive to rape, i.e. in a wetsuit, jumpsuit, burka etc, as well as robbery is only a crime if it involves tampering with a lock in order to gain access to the premises. It should naturally follow that shoplifting should only be considered a crime if practiced during hours when the store is closed!!!!

Let's forget the fact that he's focused on what the woman did wrong and ignore the fact that these guys RAPED somebody because they thought it was okay. She was drunk! What else were they supposed to do, leave her alone?!
