hi. i have a question. i sent in my papers for adjustment of status to the chicago center registered with return receipt. the address is a p.o. box and online it says that a notice was left to the them because there was no one to receive my documents. now, does the immigration service there go to the post office to pick up the documents or are they going to send them back to me. i am really stressed because i need to those papers to get to them before the fiance visa expires. thanks for anyones help.

I sent Claudeth's which required a signature when they picked it up. They stamped it and I got the card back in less than a week.

Don't stress, so long as you are married within the 90 days allowed on the visa you are fine. :yes:

They do take their sweet time acknowledging your paperwork and you also have proof it was sent. :thumbs:

3-16-2009 Re-Sent I-751

3-17-2009 Received by Vermont

Waiting and watching the calendar flip ever so over closer to 4-2-2009 (When my 2 yr GC expires) . . .

4-2-2009 Received I-751 back AGAIN! Oh and my GC expired today.

4-3-2009 Re-Sent I-751

4-4-2009 Received by Vermont

4-6-2009 Date of NOA-1 Extension Letter (Rec'd 4/13/09)

4-10-2009 Check Cashed

4-24-2009 Date of Biometrics letter (Rec'd 4/30/09)

5-11-2009 Biometrics Appointment in Louisville.
