Hi everyone!

I should have applied for an AP before with my AOS and EAD application but never thought it would have been needed at the time, I regret it now because I'm still waiting for my AOS and it's been about 11 months of waiting now and I really want to be able to go back to Sweden this Summer for my sisters graduation.

In the description on how to apply for the AP there's not a lot of details on what to attach with it, is there anyone that can share some good tips and/or check list to go by when applying?

What do I need?

Do I need new Passport photos for example?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Thank you! :)

You don't need all that stuff for AP. Just read the instructions. Yes, you do need 2 passport photos, but it doesn't ask for G-325A or anything like that. You do not need an additional explanation sheet either, as that is waived for people with pending I-485. You can put "unknown" for trip plans. Include a copy of your NOA1 from the I-485 so it is free.

AOS for my husband

Yes I forgot that its free to apply if you include a copy of your NOA1 from your I-485, and I simply listed all that I included with mine. Even though its not all required I included it anyway cos its not difficult or time consuming, so why not. :)

Good news is that since you're AOS is pending, it likely won't take long to be approved for AP! I too didn't file right away. I applied Feb 19 and was approved less than a month later! :)

All of this is not needed. You do not need proof of marriage for AP. Make sure you include copy of NOA2 for AOS in with application or you will be denied for non-payment. Also, you do not need specific travel details when you include your information. Look at sample forms for AP, and you will be fine.

Thanks you guys!

Ive been pushing to file for this AP far too long now and I was getting worried that it was gonna take a while to get it, so to hear that you got it in less than a month calms my nerves :) that gives me enough time to plan my visit to Sweden in the summer, yay! :)

Thanks again,

Yes I applied, was approved and I am actually back in Canada right now for a well deserved 10 day vacation. So nice to see my friends and family again. However, I am ready to get back to my home in Houston. I will be using my advance parole to enter the U.S on Tuesday. Wish me luck!
