Hi guys,

I am very excited that things are moving fast, it only took 35 days to get my I-129F approved and 58 days for my I-130. But I don't know if should call myself lucky or what...!!! Since both of my petitions got approved at the same time (I-130 & I129F). I don't know what to do or where to begin if decide to go with the CR-1.

How can I stop the I-129F and keep the I-130 only?

What's needed to be done first....etc?

If anybody has or had my situation, could you please give some guidance, step by step please...!!!

See the link above for the NVC shortcut

Your I129F will probably be closed by NVC as has been their policy for years.

If you choose to cease the I129F journey, then simply ignore any correspondences for the I129F or contact the consulate to tell them

Good luck

The NVC is likely going to make the decision for you with no action needed on your part. Because both petitions are likely to end up at the NVC at the same time and per NVC procedure, the I-129F will be administratively closed leaving only the I-130 that was filed active.

Well what have you done so far as far as the I-129F? Once you get approved you are off to NVC. Have you called them?

If they didn't close the I-129F it would already be at embassy. The I-130 petitions have been taking 4 to 6 weeks to get to NVC. Than another about 2 weeks to get case#'s.

You need to call NVC to see what has happened dear. a almost 2 week gap between the two approvals is a lifetime in this journey.

Thank you all for your replays I really appreciate it.

I haven’t made any move or contacted any office yet.

My I-130 was approved on March 6th

And the I-129F was approved on the 8th.

I am planning to call the NVC on Monday to find out
