You really think so M4E, they arent giving people a fair chance? They make up their minds b4 they even meet these people? Oh my goodness. Thats comforting to know.... :(

I had the intentions to call Casa about the I-130 interview and the I-129... they haven't responded to any of my questions. I send emails everyday, by this point, I'm sure that when they see my name...AGAIN.... They simply hit delete. They replied to one email, and asked for the case #, name and D.O.B, which is in every email that I have sent and I've heard nothing since.......

Nerve wrecking....... UTTERLY NERVE WRECKING!!!!!!!!

I found a few organizations here in Indiana that maybe able to help, to what extent, I do not know.

I wish I still lived in Chicago..... Bobby Rush knew my mom... I called him and he said I could send him the information if I wanted to, but out of "professional courtesy", he will have to forward everything to the congressmans reps here in Indiana because of the jurisdiction... blah, blah, blah.. I feel u tho Bobby. Thanx... 4 jack!

Anyway, I have some other avenues I will try and I am stayin on the congressmans ###, and every other avenue I find!

Like we are special, right.... AND THIS WILL TURN AROUND IN 30 DAYS FOR US?

I wish! (L)(F)

Going to the consulate in Morocco to find out anything.... anybody ever tried that?

Just a question, I mean since I'm going next month and everything.......

What do u think will happen if I catch the asian lady outside on a cigarette break?

It wasn't me........ ;)

Pray with me Forrest! Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here..... Dear God, make me a bird so I can fly far. Far, far away from here!

From everything I know about governments and from what I have read about Casa, it appears that the decisions are made prior to the interview. Its as if the team of COs go through the petitions and assign each interviewer a set of petitions. Seems to explain why the denials are usully from one interviewer.

It doesn't seem fair to me that the beneficiary has no chance to defend his application, but it does give those who are preparing thier USCIS petition to plan on showing strong evidence so when it arrives in Casa any issues are dealt with ahead of time.

Strong evidence..... whats that... if they dont look at it to begin with... interviewees may as well go with nothing.. if it is truly like that.....

Strong evidence submited with the original petition is what I meant. I think this is what the COs use to decide how to handle the cases. And if yours is tagged for denial at the consulate, yo uhave to be prepared on how to handle that. The beneficiary can only do so much and many of these fiances do not know enough about the system to address it themselves.

I am a little confused about 221g being called a denial in this thread. I thought that it was just security checks that they do? Are there two types of 221gs?

Yes. It all depends on what is written on the form. If it says that they need to do administrative processing - that's the standard security check. Some 221g's state that the case is being sent back to USCIS due to doubts about the validity of the relationship. The latter is what w commonly refer to as a denial. Although it is a "soft denial" that can be overturned.

Oh ok, I get you. We sent all they asked for. I even asked here on VJ should I send "extra" stuff. Some people said only send what they ask for and others said send everything... I sent in more than what they asked for with the original petition. This is still the outcome.... I guess it doesnt matter.. If you are marked, then you are marked, huh?

My husband, by the way, is very knowledgable about the "system". He has 2 sisters here, and lots of cousins and it was he who helped them prepare for the interviews and gathering documentation, of course along with their SO's from the USA. He has a degree in international law, I am not taking what you said personal, as you did say "many". Maybe "some" aren't aware. Others are more than aware. But all in all, awareness doesn't matter. He asked questions as to why this was the decision she made... all the right questions, she wasn't giving up the goods.... PERIOD.

M4E gave me an email address to someone Washington to give to my husband because they assist moroccan citizens with immigration problems... Thanx, by the way, M4E....... My husband already had this information and emailed him before I gave it to him.

Looks like my husband and I played by the rules and got played! As unfortunate as it is, and as pissed off as we are, they have the final say. It still doesn't matter nor does it make sense to us.

I ain't going nowhere and neither is he. So if it takes another year... :crying: , then so be it!

I will be in Morocco every single chance I get until my husband can come here... (F)(L)

Absolutely, Stay strong. In all of this, the saddest part is when good couples with great relationships get caught in the flaws of this process. (F)

I think what you stated here is a clue to your denial.

"He has 2 sisters here, and lots of cousins"

Having relatives already here is a big red flag. Did they ask him questions about his family in the US? That one got us, and this was the only thing we didn't prepare for the interview because we had no idea that they would get his ex brother in law and his sister that live in the US confused. I believe the age difference we have was one red flag, but to be honest I think his sister was the one that caused it to be sent back. Ask your SO if they asked about his family here, I am curious if they did.

BTW, did my friend Fatimah ever contact you? I gave her your VJ screen name. If not maybe you could talk to Kiyah when she gets back to the states.

Limah, I understand and agree with your frustration. I do not understand how these people are are allowed to treat not only the moroccans but the USC's this way. I too tried to get clarification on the 221g since it was in french and was told ...they said they will call your fiance...period. Go away. You take evidence that they tell you you MUST bring, and then don't look at it. Then they deny you but don't give you a reason and maybe the very thing they need is in the evidence in your hand that they won't look at!!! It is shameful that the government is allowed to get away with this and there isn't a thing we can do but wait it out. Even when you contact congressworkers, you never know if you are going to get help or be told to just sit tight. I've seen a range of replies from those who have had to go that route.

I wish you a speedy turn around. Zena was able to get a 2nd interview with success in mere weeks. I hope you are able to find the right people and get yours turned around too. Hugs, :luv:

Do they keep the effidence of your relationship (phone logs. im conversations, pics, etc.)? Or do they just look at it durign the interview?

This is part of the problem at Casa. They often do not look at any of the evidence except for pictures. And yes, they can keep any evidence they want.

Our case is a little different than most here. We have now had 2 interivews. One on 8/24/05 and another on 11/8/06. The only evidence they looked at the first time was the pictures, and they gave them back. On the second interview they didn't look at any evidence either, but because they had sent it back to the USCIS for review I had sent into the USCIS my entire evidence package. I am assuming they did look through that before the interview, but I don't know for sure. They did return that to my husband.

Hey all.... (F)(L)

The funny thing is that they didn't ask him questions about his family or sisters.

Let me rephrase my statement, he doesnt have "lots" of cousins.... 3 to be exact, the last cousin has been here over 10 years and his sister has been here for 5, and the one before her for 7. So no one in his family has even applied for a visa in the last 5 years.

M4E..... no word from Fatimah, I will "PM" her now, thanx...... (F)(L)
