How should I answer certain questions in the I-130/485 forms?

I'm going to file my paperwork soon and confused about several questions.

I've entered the USA on a J-1 Visa and overstayed it for more than 180 days. We've already assembled all the needed material (i.e.- sealed envelope from physician, background check from Russia) and are finishing the details on the forms now. I don't want to put the wrong answer and be rejected because of a simple mistake, so I wanted to ask you all a few of them:

Questions about filling out I-130:

- "your relatives address abroad" - this is a question my husband should answer about my address, right? But I've been living in the USA with since august. Should we put my address as it was in another country, or should we put N/A?

- "Date authorized stay expired, or will expire, as shown on Form I-94". I don't have any dates on my I-94. I'm not sure if it was an oversight on their part, or if it shouldn't have one. Any advice?

Questions about filling out I-485:

- When it asks what my current status is, what should I put-- J-1 student, J-1 student expired, spouse of citizen?

Has anyone else been in my situation, where they met their spouse while here on a student visa? If so, did you file within 180 day? I'm just asking, because I'm curious as to how this is going to affect their decision to approve me.

Thank you all for your input, because I'm very nervous about the whole situation...

The I-130 is used by people in many situations, so some of its questions don't always make sense.

For "your relative's address abroad", put "n/a - living in US at same address as spouse"

Your I-94 is probably annotated with "D/S" for "duration of status" - if so, write "D/S" in the box that asks for a date.

For your current status on the I-485, "J-1 (expired)" is fine, or "J-1".

I assume you have confirmed that your J-1 visa was not subject to the 180-day home residence requirement. You should include proof of that, i.e. a copy of your DS-2019 with the appropriate box ticked.

Spouse-based AOS from out-of-status H-1B, May - Aug 2012

Removal of conditions, Aug - Nov 2014

No, it does not matter how long you wait before you file.
