I want to work somewhere...

For the last two years I've been collaborating on a multimedia project without pay. I'm the composer. I live in Canada. The person running the project lives in America. She just told me she's gonna have to let me go due to the struggles of working with someone far away.

This project is something I am very very very passionate about. Being replaced is killing me inside.

I want to be officially hired to work on this project so I can temporarily relocate there until it is done. How can I go about this? The project is an indie thing. It's not part of an official business, so I'm scared I might not be able to continue all the hard work I've put into this... ):

I don't have a college degree or any professional experience. ):

A composer has studied music in college and has at the very least a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition. Ideally, you'd have a Master's or even a doctorate.

If you do not have a college degree and do not have professional experience, you can't really call yourself a composer and thus there's no path for you leading to a visa allowing you to work in the United States.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . .
