Well Debbie either you/he are going to have to pear down the amount he carries inside, or you carry some/he carries some to the embassy, or put it all in a big plastic bag (is this allowed?).

I asked my hubby and he said they could back in 2011, it was just inspected/scanned before they went inside. Has it changed now there can't even be any plastic bags (like what I've seen some nigerians carry on the airplane flight). Back then suitcases, on wheels or otherwise, wasn't allowed then either. God bless and good luck....we're praying for you.

P.S. Don't forget about medicals/police clearance ;)

Well first congratulations on the NOA2. If you haven't yet get over to the NVC filers thread read post #1 and #2.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/417050-nvc-filers-march-2013/

******************************************************************************************************

Okay I am more talking about what you bring all your things in. They use to allow like carry on luggage laptop type briefcases. But The last few interviews in January and February they were stopped and had to take everything out.

And at interview you won;t be submitting everything. I pray you submitted and front-loaded at USCIS. Doesn't hurt getting insurance and suchbut all that co-mingling of finances is more for Removal of Conditions. But do as much as you can. Taxes, leases, Utility Bills, Insurance, adding her to work in case of emergency. Just to name a few.

Most what people bring is updated I-864 and other forms. Current chats, IM's, Logs, SMS, text, facebook, Emails.

Hope this helps

Lord I can't believe I am at this stage actually asking this question.

Okay i need to hear from those who have had interviewed lately. I hear that you can't take any kind of briefcase, suitcase, carry on nothing. You have to hand carry everything.

I have about 4- 4inch binders and a large accordion folder my husband will have and well frankly that needs a briefcase.

So whats going on now?

Hi Dwheels, i will advice dat he takes a big nylon to the interview to put his stuffs in. I went with a pull behind box filled up with documents and to my greatest dismay i was told even before i got to the gate dat i will not be allowed to go in with the box, i even went ahead to explain to them that i had loads of documents and couldn't carry it by hand and they insisted that i take everything out of the box and hand carry it. I was at the point of tears when i walked in with all the documents i had, other people who were also there for the interview were looking at me funny as if to say 'What's she doing with all this documents?' I realised people barely carried loads of evidence. Luckily while i was thinking of what to do, i looked into my bag and found the 70naira nylon i had bought to put my xray in after my medicals. I walked up to one alhaji (whom i paid 500naira to keep my back safe till i get out of the interview) and asked him if i would be allowed to take in my documents in the nylon bag and he said they would. Goodluck and God's favour all the way.

I hear nylon all the time. And I am sure you don't mean the kind we women wear on our legs. LOL.

So a see through backpack type. Like they make our kids carry to school mesh looking or see through plastic. Okay doable. I think I will scale down to 2 to 3 binders. Just the new stuff should be enough they have all the previous what he need to carry that for. ughhhh.

Thanks

Well evidence we got just took the box out the storage closet. Still have to catch it up (Nov to present). But man the phone records suck. Don't know about ya'll but the network has been very very bad since summer. We are lucky to even get a hello heard. Texting has eaten up all my poor husbands extra money. Goodness when he see's unlimited cell service here he will just cry. LOL

looks like 4-4 inch binders and a divider folder and a smallest album maybe 100 pic. Depends how crazy we get when i get there. it has been 19 months. Yikes.

Anyway printing, labels, dividers and whole punching. Oh boy. Lets see if I can keep this under 5oo pages thats my cool. Already have 900 +219 (petition)

No no nylon is basically a black bag, similar to what you get at the grocery store.
