So like almost everyone here I also filed my I-129F back in Jan 19th. Got NOA1 (hardcopy) Jan 25th. And the wait time continues, on and on and on and on. Anybody else file Jan of 2013? Anybody knows how long will it take to get my NOA2? Country is Dominican Republic. Any answer is greatly appreciated!

If you are reading any of these forums or do a search you will see that many people are waiting. You are not even at the 2 month mark, and I'll estimate you have at least another 5 months to go. According to USCIS it is at least a 5.5 month wait. At least.

ETA: I took a look at your timeline, and you have incorrectly input that NVC has received your package. You should only have the NOA1 received. Removing this incorrect information will give you a rough estimate of when your petition may be approved.

I'm aware that I have to wait, all i'm looking for is wait time for people that hv been through same situation. That's all.

You're going to have to wait. A long, boring wait.

Again thanks for your reply but that info I knew it. I'm looking for info for other people that have already been throught this.

You could also try inquiring in your region specific forums. My personal wait was 176 days. Everyone is in the same situation, so we are letting you know that you will be waiting at least another 3 months. Good luck!

According to your timeline, it shows your expected wait time for others in your situation to get your NOA2 and get your case ready for the embassy process is:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between July 30, 2013 and August 10, 2013*.

That was directly from your timeline, you can find it at the bottom of the timeline.

After you receive NOA2, times can vary. I recommend go into the regional forum for where you will be applying and read about their wait times specifically to get even more detailed information Caribbean Regional Forum

I forgot to mentioned that after my NOA1 on Jan 30th I recvd a letter saying that my Alien # changed. Anyone knows what does this mean?

That is common. It doesn't mean anything, your case is still being processed. You can also utilize the search tool for this and you will see this has happened to many other VJ members.

FWIW, my estimate says:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between February 25, 2013 and March 15, 2013*.

Last month, it said "between January 20 and February 12". So this shows you how much to count on the estimates.

Buckle in, wait and relax.. Find something to take your mind off the wait... building ships in a bottle or whatever.. We are at the 193 day mark without end in sight.. Contacted congressman and senator.. talked to people.. even wrote Mr. Obama..

In the end.. Response is the same.. :bonk:

Time frame is 3-9 months, +/- a month or 2.

You give a range PLUS a variation to the range. Wow!

Does that mean then, 1-11 months?

or is it like 6 months, +/- 3 months, or

6 months, +/- 5 months.

They gave a range plus a variation to the range because this really is how erratic the system can be. Some people are extremely lucky and get processed extremely quickly, others.. Are now waiting to hear something for over 400 days.

Time to put on your patient hat!
