When I originally started my research on getting my F-1 visa for the US I didn't realize that since I am a Canadian travelling to the US it would be a different process (no visa needed to enter US, no interview needed). According to the .gov website as a Canadian all the paperwork I need is:

Proof of identity and citizenship (a Canadian passport for example)

The original I-20 (or DS-2019) certificate

Proof that you have paid your SEVIS fee

Proof that you have the funds to pay for the school that you plan to attend

Proof of your ties to Canada

Is there anyone else that has gone through this process and would recommend other documentation to bring? Also is having parents that live in Canada and having mutual funds enough proof of ties?

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
