I had planned on bringing Hawkins' Cheesies down with me when I move, I’ve never tasted any others that I actually like.

Now it looks like Peak Freans are going to be added to the list. I love their shortbreads.

And a few Coffee Crisps.

Maybe some loose tea until I can find a good source. Apparently hot tea isn’t a popular item in the Lowcountry.

Going to have to start a more comprehensive list.

You can buy Kinder Chocolate at World Market stores or you could the last time I was there.

Mmm Peak Freans! When I go, I stock up on Canadian Heinz Ketchup, VH sauces, Caramilk bars and Glysomed! Gonna add Bueno as well as I am craving it!

Bah!!! I totally forgot about those!! I am making a care package list as I type! :D

Most ethnic shops sell loose tea, in 1 to 5 kg bags. Indian, Chinese, Pakistani - all have. Price usually less, then seeking it at the 'World Market' .

If you don't live in a town with an ethnic market - is prolly best to befriend someone that does live in such a town, and have stuff shipped to you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Or visit a tea store. My town in CT has one in the center of town and you can sample teas and buy loose tea and accessories.

I’m going to Hilton Head Island, where if you ask what type of tea they have they say sweet or unsweet. Then you have to qualify with hot tea. :P

I did see there’s a British Shop in Charleston, so I know I can get tea there for sure. They had a Tea Room on the island but it looks like it closed down.

I haven’t really looked for loose teas yet while I was visiting because hubby had bags of tea at home for us. Plus the fact he doesn’t own a tea ball or teapot.

I’ll just have to figure out what is available and make some adjustments and plan ahead.

It’ll be an adventure that’s for sure.

Well, you may be able to buy them in the US but I'm not sure if you can bring them in from Canada. I just had a person sent back from US customs this past easter that had to dispose of his kinder eggs before crossing the border into the US. Maybe the US Customs guys didn't get the memo. If, it's the actual capsule that is the choking hazard and not the toy, then it's kind of humorous that two of the kinder eggs sent back where the giant versions and the capsules were as big as a 8 oz cup. Not sure how a kid was going to choke on that. Ah...good fun I had giving the US guys a ribbing on keeping the country safe when they called over to give us the heads up they were sending some folks back that had kinder eggs.

That has got to be one of the funniest things I have ever heard.

In the article it looked like the eggs that are allowed to be sold in the US have plastic showing between the pieces of the chocolate.

The differences between the countries amazes me. I had no inkling that we were so different until I was looking at moving.
