05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Of course that was a week ago, and yet the continue to apparently do nothing....

How can you tell, we here are just a portion of what USCIS have for K1 petitions. They could have approve 20 cases just none of those folks came to VJ forum site to be a member. Remember, things go alot faster if you believe the glass to be half full or just don't stare at it all day long.

But here is to wishing the process to speed up for all us.

God Bless

Submitted 9/14/12 to California Processing Center

Received Packet 9/20/12

Decision ?

It is now past 5 1/2 month mark and still no answer. I tried calling multiple times but the only feedback from the Customer Service Agent is just 'wait'. According to the Agent, processing times shows that they are still working on the file from 7/18/12. That date has not changed for a long time. I am just getting very frustrated with the delay and the lack of attention.

Anyone here suffering from the same consequences? It seems like many were approved earlier than 5 months reading from the posts. We are just getting very anxious.

Processing times were much faster last year according to history on this site. I am really supprised with the slow flow days. According to USCIS web site,...there was about 3500 less applicants each month in July, Aug., Sept& Oct of 2012. I assumed they would process I129f from this time frame faster. Looks like I was wrong. At least the Federal Gov. is consistant, everything they touch goes to #######. Post Office, Social Security, US Military, Health Care...........

Sure, any given day could show no approvals due to error, but we are ~5% of the actual cases, and it should average out. In fact, it should average out to ~3-5 a day if they are approving at the same rate as submittals. so when you dont see this for 2,3, 5 days, a week, a month, then yeah, you can tell.

Why did it take 4 months to get NOA1? That usually only takes about a week. Are you sure you didn't get your NOA2 back in Nov? What service center has your case?

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

Skim,

When we were at the point you were (5.5 months), that is when I started to have a freakout. But then I calmed down as I slowly realized we were going to pass Month 6 and Month 7. Chances are you'll be waiting for another few months. Most people are, especially at CSC. I've seen a few people get approved from September, but most people from late July and all of August haven't been approved yet. CSC froze for essentially 3 months and has barely shown signs of life.

Today is 220 for us. Last year at this time, CSC folks were getting approved at around 100 days. I would consider myself lucky if we heard back this month.

It's infuriating, but there's nothing we can do about it. We just have to wait.

Same thoughts and feelings like you...We are so tired of waiting...

It is frustrating. This is a real waiting game. My husband and I never thought to really suffer the wait but we did in our own skin.

On December 13th 2011, we submitted our I-130 with I-485 AOS. After biometrics (February) they transferred the docs to California and then we heard nothing until... like I mean it... nothing. We did 2 services for request. Nothing helped. They sent us a letter in October letting us know they had to transfer our docs to Vermont. Then nothing until November that it was transferred to Missouri. Then at the end of November we got Interview notice. December 3rd 2012 we went to the interview and got verbal RFE but... then later that night we received the approval by email.

We waited 'almost' a whole year. It is hard. Hold on my friend. Life has a real crazy stop with this wait but that is how the system is working now.
