hi there. i am 7 months pregnant, and under the long waiting game of noa2 k1.

i've read in US embassy manila website that you can apply both CRBA and US passport in the same day. i hope someone can clarify this for me. how is it done? is the CRBA approved on the same day? and how long is the processing for both of it? how long do we have to wait for the US passport? it's confusing. we're planning ahead and trying to understand the process. thanks.

crba and US passport can be applied the same day. how, you submit all the froms which are required.

when i did the crba we were told by the consul that we were approved. it takes about ~3-4 weeks for both to be processed.

CRBA application approval is based on ur child's eligibility. There are qualifications and documents/proofs needed.

It can only be done after the baby is born since birth certificate is the number 1 requirement.

You have to call the embassy so they can send u the forms along with the list of required documents. I got my approval within 10 days from the day the application was submitted till i got my son's passport and CRBA certificate.

Approval or the process is not a one day thing. You have to go to the embassy with the baby for interview and once everything is meet then they will let u know if u are approved or not right after the interview.

Don't forget to request for ADVANCE ENDORSEMENT of your child's NSO birth certificate as soon as you file it at the Local Civil Registry (LCR). If you don't file for AE, you'll wait 6 MONTHS before you can get an NSO copy of your child's BC.

USEM will not accept certified true copies of your baby's BC. It should be NSO copy (printed on NSO security paper).

 and check with NSO. what happened to my child was that it came back negative, it was not endorsed properly. only to find out that they have the file already, i saw it when they checked on it, they were just too lazy to forward it to the main office.

another thing, has anyone experience giving birth without her fiance? my fiance is not sure that he will be here since he cant get paternity leave unless baby is born.i asked one of the registration personnel and they are asking me for US notarized affidavit of paternity and consent to use father's last name, that's because we're not married and he may not be here. ( i wont be needing that if my fiance will be here, but we're now expecting for worst) so confusing. can anyone help me about this.

thanks again

You are misinformed.

You 'can' download every form including the CRBA CHECKLIST for the list of the required fees, forms and supporting documents for a CRBA application

If the registration personnel require it then get, if he's there at time of birth then no need. Not so confusing.
