Where here in Florida now by Fiancé Visa (K1) and Dependent Visa (K2) for my son. We already sent our application for our AOS last January 17, 2013, then they sent us a Notice of Action (NOA) a few days after that. Last February 12, 2013, We're done to our BIOMETRIC. What is so frustrating about it is, its been 1 month now since we've done our biometric and we have not receive any response yet. I'm stocked in our house now and cannot do anything. We cannot process my driver's license cause my visa already expired. I feel so down that I feel like im so alone even if I have my son at home. My husband only come one once a month for only 3 days then go back to work. I have no one to turn to when I need anything in the house, cause stores are far from our home. (Sorry, Just feel bad).

Just now, I called USCIS, and ask why I don't receive any response yet, she said that it takes up to 4 months. grrrrr....

my question is, after you do your biometric, how long does it take for USCIS to reply for your interview?

Thanks :)

You may or may not have an interview. It currently takes 4-6 months to get the green card. You knew this when you chose the K-1/K-2 route as opposed to the CR-1 route. What is the problem?

Have you applied for EAD (temporary work authorization) and AP (temporary travel authorization) also? They are free when filed with AOS (or a pending AOS) and are approved in 2-3 months.

If you didn't apply for it, I would strongly urge you to do it. You will be able to work, travel, and apply for a driver's license.

Your AOS can take up to a year to be processed. Being frustrated after 2 months is way too early...

Hello! We filed for AOS (from K1and K2)last year.I am from Florida too.Our AOS process lasted exactly 4 months and to my surprise we were not called in for interview.I felt just like you are feeling right now.Frustrated and at times sad.Just be patient and everything will fall into place. After our bipmetrics we did not hear anything from USCIS.Even our status online never changed for 4 months(Acceptance).I was just surprised one day when I checked it was already approved.Take care.BTW where are you specifically located here in Florida?

If you don't have an interview you could be waiting a long time. We have been waiting over 6 months and many people have been waiting 8 months or more ....

I'm actually quite shocked at the lack of empathy shown here in the responses. The OP obviously is very lonely and has no means to get around, to socialize or even go grocery shopping.

To the OP: I know things are hard at the moment, and you could be waiting a long time to hear back from the USCIS, but it will get better. Stay strong, Skype with friends and family to take the edge off of the loneliness, and maybe take some online courses or study for a GED (if you do not already have equivalent qualifications or better)

I hope this one little posting makes you feel better, you aren't alone, I was very much in your shoes feeling like a caged animal at times. I hope things get better for you :)

It's totally understandable, but filing for EAD/AP will help. Like all former K-1 applicants, we all went through the period of not being able to do much while waiting, at least, for the EAD/AP card. Sure we are stuck for a while, but there are ways to resolve it.

Unfortunately, the OP doesn't answer so we still don't know if she applied for it.
