Hello my friend

I am permanent resident I applied for my wife ,my priority date is sep 2011 (I 130)

I came to US in 2011 , and I applied for Medicaid in 2012 and now I wanna renew my Medicaid for this year but I don't know is this gonna cause problems about my tax for the coming year (2014)

The first year of my tax was not enough and for 2012 was not enough also and I am sure for 2013 it gonna be above the average which is good BUT if I Applied for Medicaid in this year is this gonna make my taxes looks bad and they will ask me for sponsor

Please tell me what to do cause I don't know any sponsor and it is hard to find one so I wanna avoid this problems from now

Thank u for ur patience

New greencard holders are not usually elligible for medicaid at all.

Are you sure you mean state funded medicaid for you? Or maybe for a US citizen child?

Some states will allow LPRs to get medicaid because its funded by the state and not the federal gov. Apparently the state he lives in allows it.

The question seems to be about the 864 and income requirements. He needs a certain income level to qualify for medicaid and a certain income level to be able to sponsor his wife.

I know what the income requirements are for sponsorship, I dont know what they are for him to get medicaid in his state are however- and sadly- theres nothing anyone can do about either requirement.

Hes either going to meet one of them or both of them.

Capri is right in that some states do allow Medicaid for LPRs.

Maybe I am reading OPs question wrong but he seems to be saying that his 2012 income finally meets I-864 requirements but if he renews his medicaid this year, NVC or consulate may use that to say he cannot sponsor his spouse and hence needs a co sponsor. So I think he is asking if to renew his medicaid and run the risk of being asked to produce a co sponsor cos he is benefiting from govt assistance or dnt renew(lose his mediaid) but be able to sponsor his spouse.

until the question is understood, OP may not get clear direction.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!
