Hi all.

On March 6th we got noticed that our case got moved to Testing and Interview. Any idea how long we will be in this area? I have a pending new job and I was kind of hoping a few days but nothing yet.

A additional question; once we are in Testing and Interview chances for a decision without interview is zero, right?

What are we waiting for next? Mail or email/text with our interview date?

If you are AOSing from H-1B your chances for no interview were always zero. Why did you think you may not have one ?

And by the way - you are adjusting from Work visa, therefore you are posting in wrong forum. Now you are waiting for I-797 with interview date.

Don't get hung up on what the online status says. It's famously inaccurate.

And like kzielu said, filing for marriage-based AOS from anything other than a K-1 guarantees that you'll be interviewed.

I would expect an interview sometime in May.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you happen to know what I should be waiting for now? Emails and text about my appointment or just snail mail?

You might or might not get an email with your interview date, depending on how badly their computer systems are malfunctioning that day. You should definitely get an interview appointment letter in the mail, but it might not come until as little as 2-3 weeks before the interview itself.

At some point you'll probably receive electronic notification that your EAD has been approved, and then you'll get the card in the mail, but that is a separate, parallel process so its timing has no relation to the AOS interview timing.

As I said - you will receive notice by snail mail with date and place of the inteview. You may receive e-mail/text notification that notice was mailed to you but from what I remember it contains no details.
