I had an interview at December2012 and was issued 221g for additional documents (Birth Certificate of my Baby).

Now, I just submitted the documents at the embassy. She asked me to give my Passport. She kept my Passport and Baby’s Birth Certificate. And gave me a white Token and told me to come back next week. She didn’t ask me to bring anything that day. Can someone please tell me what this could mean? Does it mean another interview? If so I can be prepared.

Advice and comments will be greatly appreciated. Thank u in advance.

Well, I'm not sure which embassy you went to or anything, but if they keep your passport, that's a good thing because they'll be putting a visa inside of it.

Please consider filling out your timeline or provide additional information. Alternatively you could ask the question in your country's specific forum.

Hopefully you will have your visa in hand soon!

Thank you for your reply.

I have faced USA Embassy Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In the Token there are 3 options:

1. Issuance

2. Passback

3. DS230 Sign

She ticked on option number 2 (Passback)

Please help me with your opinion.

Thanks!

(as I posted in your other thread- I believe you are getting your visa and will be with your husband soon)

This is the general info for passback:

found here:

http://iraq.usembassy.gov/visas/passport.html

Receiving your passports and visas by courier service

Unless you have access to the International zone in Baghdad, as a visa applicant you must take delivery of your passport, visa, and documents sent from the US Embassy via courier service. You may not use the consular shuttle to be escorted back into the IZ after your visa interview day for passport pick-up.

You must prepay your shipment with the courier service of your choice and then provide us the billing data in the form of a copy of your prepaid voucher or airway bill either at the time of your visa interview or by sending it to BaghdadNIV@state.gov (visitor visas) or to the address that we gave you at the interview (immigrant visas).

Check with the courier service to see if your passport will be sent directly to your home or to their nearest office. Only the person or persons whose name(s) are specified on the airway bill will be authorized to receive passport packages. The courier will verify the identity of package receivers; please be prepared to present identification documents.

For passport pass back, you need to fill out the information on the courier airway bill as follows: (snip)

Oh here you go I may have found something you can use. Not quite sure though... The page doesnt say specifically which embassies it covers. Hmmm.

http://usvisa-info.com/en-AE/selfservice/us_courier_information

It seems like you can make an account and see if it was issued and or shipped? It might be a useful tool, if not for this case for others.

Hello Dear, yes helped me much by posting in our previous thread.

However,

They issued me the Token with a specific Date.

Does it mean that they will issue me On hand to hand.

Is there any possibility to keep me under AP?

Or retake my interview?

Thank you.
