After a long wait, my wife's Visa is finally approved! When she had her initial medical exam, the chest x-rays showed "something" and that delayed everything by 3 months. She did the sputum exam, and nothing ever showed. Thankfully the Visa interview went smoothly. Sooo, now it is time to jump for joy and do a little dance, because her and I will finally be together soon. :dance:

09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).

Aww. Congrats! We are on the same boat, They saw something (spot) on my husband's chest when he had his medical last january..He did his sputum test last Feb. Thank God he has a negative smear result. We are on our 5th week, going 6th!!! :-)

We are going to call St.Luke's on April. I hope his interview will be ok so we can be together sooooooon! :) Anyway, Congrats again to both of you :dance:

congrats to youkicking.gifkicking.gif. am doing the sputum now am going for the last day tomorrow.....am happy to hear some positive news on the same am hoping mine will be okey. but the 8 weeks are really looong

Yes, the wait sucks. And both my wife and I feel that the hospital messed up with the chest x-rays, either under or over exposed, and they won't let her see them. She did that very next day go to her private doctor and had x-rays done that showed nothing at all, but St Luke's wouldn't accept them. And the way they take the sputum samples, we were afraid of cross contamination, thankfully that didn't happen.

Thank you everyone. Her POE will be San Francisco, planning on the 19th of April. She will spend the weekend with family there that she hasn't seen in over 9 years, then will be with me on the 22nd of April. Paying the Immigration fee online tomorrow, and she is signing up for the seminar and getting her plane tickets today.
