I can only take 2 consecutive weeks off from my work.. I'm going to take also 2 days off so I can go to the interview with her.. What is better? Should I just stay there until she gets her visa mailed to her and then fly back to the USA? Then I could only be with her for a few days before I need to return to work.. Or should I come back and get her once she has her visa in hand.. Then I can be with her for 10 days in the USA so she can get used to it before I leave her alone and I'm at my work.. btw, my work is long like maybe 16 hours away from home sometimes..

What does she think? Personally, I would think that it would be better to be with her when she gets to the US. Those first few weeks could be tough for her.

It depends on what she is like and what you want. Personally, I'd visit before. for interview, then go home and have her come to the USA by herself to have the maximum possible time together in the USA so you can show her around, introduce her to friends and family etc.

If is your goal/purpose to accompany your gal back to the USA, I would advise you to wait until she has the visa in her passport in hand. So many things can go wrong and or delay her getting the visa in her passport. Just my "naive" opinion based on my personal experience...

I've been thinking of this too, although it'll be quite awhile for me yet, since we haven't even filed our initial paperwork yet. Since she will have 6 months once she is approved to be in the states, my plan is to be there for both the interview, then once she's ready with visa in hand I'll go back for her spend a couple of days to help pack up then accompany her to a new life with me. I'll spend the remaining vacation time showing her around where we'll be living, how to catch the bus, local stores, show her off to friends and family..oh, almost forgot! and getting married!
